After you die

Detaining Michael

Michael cannot be killed. With maximum police presence, enough damage, and a player controlling Loomis or an officer, he can be detained and sent back to Smith's Grove. Only one containment happened in the whole PAX demo, per IllFonic staff.

Tactics for either side are in the civilian guide and the Michael tips guide. Whether your friends on other platforms can join is on the crossplay page.

Multiplayer questions

How many players is Halloween: The Game?

Five per match: one Michael and four Civilians. Private matches also hold up to five and can be filled with AI.

Can I play against bots offline?

Private matches can use AI opponents. One early-access player notes a solo private match only allows playing Michael, so you cannot practise Civilian against a bot Michael alone.

How do you revive a teammate?

You do not. There is no revive; dead players spectate, send items, and can return as Loomis or a deputy via the radio.

Is there proximity chat?

Yes, confirmed on the July 14 dev stream.
