What is Halloween: The Game?
Halloween: The Game is a asymmetrical horror game by IllFonic, the studio behind Friday the 13th: The Game, co-published by Gun Interactive. It launches September 8, 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic), PS5, Xbox Series X|S, with Deluxe Early Access open since September 4. One player is Michael Myers; four are Civilians trying to warn, arm and evacuate a town of NPC residents across 4 maps. A separate six-chapter story mode replays the night of 1978 from Michael's side.
These notes keep what the store page does not: the full 12-Civilian roster with voice actors and editions, every Michael ability and its counter, the landmarks on each map, chapter clear times, the 51 trophies, an item-by-item editions comparison, and straight answers on crossplay and the Australian ban. When does Halloween: The Game come out?
Full launch is Friday, September 8, 2026 at 9 AM PT on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and Epic. Digital Deluxe buyers have had Early Access since September 4 at 9 AM PT. Physical editions follow on October 6.
Is Halloween: The Game crossplay?
Yes, across PC, PS5 and Xbox, confirmed by IllFonic in the July 14 dev stream. Cross-progression is not planned. A day-one lobby bug between PC and PS5 was reported on the Steam board.
Is there a story mode, and how long is it?
Yes. You play Michael Myers through a prologue and five chapters narrated by Dr. Loomis. One early-access player posted first-run times totalling about 3.5 hours on Normal; challenges and collectibles add replay.
